NIDC

The NIDC will be responsible for ensuring that national ICT policies, strategies, and legal frameworks align with the National Sustainable Development Plan (NSDP) 2030.

Acting as the highest coordinating body for ICT policies in Vanuatu, the NIDC will advise the Council of Ministers (COM), coordinate policy development and establish working groups with national and international partners.

Scope of Work

1. ICT Development Pathway

The NIDC shall develop and submit a national ICT development pathway to COM.

  • Principles, approaches & goals
  • Strengthened ICT governance nationwide
2. Guidance to COM

Provides strategic advisory guidance to the Council of Ministers.

  • Targeted ICT policy creation
  • Policy coordination and implementation
3. Coordination Platform

Serves as a national platform for ICT coordination and advice.

National ICT Policies

The DCDT leads development of the National ICT Policy and acts as Secretariat to the National ICT Development Committee (NIDC).

  • National ICT Policy

  • Cybersecurity Policy

Action plans will be developed to ensure nationwide implementation.
